That will work. But, if they really want *all* non-pst files bound to the new mgmt. class, just change the copy group/retention settings for the default mgmt. class. Then all you need is:
include ?:\...\*.pst meager-mc That would have a slight advantage, in that files that are inactive because they no longer exist on the drive (which cannot be rebound) would be governed by the new rules. And it's simpler. -----Original Message----- From: ADSM: Dist Stor Manager [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Arbogast, Warren K Sent: Tuesday, June 24, 2014 10:50 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [ADSM-L] bind all files except .pst to new management class? A user wishes to bind all files except .pst files to a new management class with more ample retention settings. What's the best way to do this? Is it sufficient to bind all .pst files to a second management class --to keep them from being bound to the new management class? Something like this: include ?:\...\* ample-mc include ?:\...\*.pst meager-mc Thank you, Keith Arbogast Indiana University
