NetApp snapdiff support for filers configured to run in c-mode was added
in ONTAP 8.2, so any future TSM client support would
require this version of ONTAP.

As you probably know, ONTAP 8.2 is the last version of ONTAP which will
include legacy 7-mode support, future versions
starting with 8.3 will only support c-mode.

TSM client support for c-mode snapdiff is pending on going negotiations
with NetApp which I am not at liberty to discuss.

All I can say is that there is no technical reason why a future TSM client
version could not support c-mode snapdiff.

Sorry I can't provide more information ....

Subject: support for SnapDiff on NetApp filers running CDOT?
Sent by: "ADSM: Dist Stor Manager" <ADSM-L@VM.MARIST.EDU>

Has anyone heard when Tivoli is going to release a version of SnapDiff
that works on Clustered Data Ontap 8 (think latest version is 8.2 or 8.3)?
My understanding is that NetApp has given the API's to IBM, waiting on
IBM to incorporate them.
