Hello, It is not stated in the "best effort support" technote but TSM Client should install and run on OpenSUSE as on a SLES/SLED : http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21417165
You're simply missing somes dependancies : libc.so.6 and libpthread.so.0 should be provided py a package named glibc-2.xx Unfortunaltely, I' don't have any *SUSE distrib to confirm the package name. Have you tried to install the gsk* packages using zypper instead of rpm ? It should solve the missing dependancies. -- Best regards / Cordialement / مع تحياتي Erwann SIMON ----- Mail original ----- De: "Jeanne Bruno" <[email protected]> À: [email protected] Envoyé: Vendredi 13 Mars 2015 18:48:33 Objet: [ADSM-L] Does TSM support openSUSE Hello. I'm googling and on the IBM sites and I'm seeing TSM client 7.1.x supports: * SLES 11 (64 bit) * SLED 11 (64 bit) Anyone know if this includes 'openSUSE'? I tried installing and I got the failed dependencies (I also tried older versions 6.4, 6.3): error: Failed dependencies: libc.so.6()(64bit) is needed by gskcrypt64-8.0-14.36.x86_64 libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.2.5)(64bit) is needed by gskcrypt64-8.0-14.36.x86_64 libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.3)(64bit) is needed by gskcrypt64-8.0-14.36.x86_64 libdl.so.2()(64bit) is needed by gskcrypt64-8.0-14.36.x86_64 libdl.so.2(GLIBC_2.2.5)(64bit) is needed by gskcrypt64-8.0-14.36.x86_64 libpthread.so.0()(64bit) is needed by gskcrypt64-8.0-14.36.x86_64 libpthread.so.0(GLIBC_2.2.5)(64bit) is needed by gskcrypt64-8.0-14.36.x86_64 come to find out the vendor installed openSUSE on the server. ____________________ Jeannie Bruno Senior Systems Analyst [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Central Hudson Gas & Electric (845) 486-5780
