There are no SAN-based technologies for node replication currently available within TSM. However, I have been able to get relatively good node replication performance over a WAN link with 30-40 ms delay by expanding the TCPWINDOWSIZE from the default 63K to 1024K. That, coupled with running 30-50 replication sessions concurrently has been able to fill a 1 Gbps pipe. The maximum supported value for TCPWINDOWSIZE is 2048K, but I found that to be of limited utility.
You should sign up for the TSM beta program, as they are actively developing the node replication technology and big changes are on the horizon. Hope that helps, __________________________ Matthew McGeary Technical Specialist - Infrastructure PotashCorp T: (306) 933-8921 www.potashcorp.com From: Srikanth Kola23 <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Date: 02/09/2016 03:49 PM Subject: [ADSM-L] Reg: disk based LAN free setup for node replication Sent by: "ADSM: Dist Stor Manager" <[email protected]> Hello, I am having a WAN setup and we are doing node replication ( windows tsm server 714 to linux tsm server 714) to another tsm server ( we do use file type stg pools only) .
