I wanted to quickly try out the various Android L preview samples so I checked out about 4-5 of them from GitHub, using Android Studio's Check out wizard (it was AS 0.8.1 on Fedora Core 20, if it matters). I then ran them in the emulator.
When I checked my process monitor, I observed that there were as many gradle daemons running as the projects that I had run.
