"Everything arises" is a bad excuse for lack of self control.
If you say this, you can also say that a murder and a rape just arises every
minute in some part of the world.
Your habits and tendencies are not arising.
They are being ingrained because they have a potential to boost your ego.
It is a lack of self esteem.
You are the one who controls these and you are strengthening your habits.
