To say that there is something on a table, you need your eyes(sense organ). For the eyes to function, you need your mind(inner organ). For your mind to function, there is another entity responsible which is the Self. That Self is the source of the "I". The light from the Self is reflected on the mind and this reflected light is responsible for vision.
