I posted this same problem previously (August according to the archives)
and was sort of hoping that Service Pack updates would fix it or it
might just be something quirky, but the problem still exists. I've not
found anything in my searches that really pertains to this and don't
quite know where to start. Any help on this would be appreciated. I've
installed the .Net framework on other servers and I don't have this
problem at all.

We have been getting perflib errors in the eventlog. Text
is as follows:

Event Type: Error

Event Source: Perflib

Event Category: None

Event ID: 2002

Date: 7/10/2002

Time: 4:42:40 AM

User: N/A

Computer: SPTTSDW1

Description:

The open procedure for service ".NETFramework" in DLL
"C:\WINNT\system32\mscoree.dll" has taken longer than the established
wait
time to complete. There may be a problem with this extensible counter
or
the service it is collecting data from or the system may have been very
busy when this call was attempted.

The system doesn't appear hard-pressed when these errors pop up, and the
only items running on this server are SQL2k, a homegrown VB.Net windows
service and some Active Reports executables. I have the same exact
setup on a desktop in my office and I do not get these errors, and I do
not get the quirky problem mentioned below.

Any help at all on this would be appreciated. I'm getting some quirky
performance problems on this machine, and this error is the only thing
that this server gets that no other servers here get.

Thanks in advance,
=Blain
