You can't install it on Windows ME. You need an NT kernel-based OS (such as NT4, W2K, WXP)

I am running VB.NET & C# on my Windows XP Home and Windows 2000 Pro machines. You need IIS only if you want to run ASP.NET. Thanks! Win2k Pro or Server, or XP pro are the supported OSs, unless things have changed recently. Hi, Quick question, does anybody know if there is a problem using Visual Stidio .NET (professional) with Windows XP Home edition?. I tried re-installing it last night, and the installation crashes out just after it generates the installation scripts. I'm using origional CDs, not pirates. Please help!
