I have used the SQLXML toolkit for bulk inserts.... In this case, we would incur a bit of overhead converting to XML from the various formats we read in. I really need to be able to directly insert the rows like you can with IRowsetFastLoad....
Anyways, I was hoping that MSFT would eventually provide a solution here.. I'm sure the belief was the the current ADO.Net implmentation solved 80% of folks problems(which it seems to do a good job at). In my view though, there seems to be a large gap here where ADO.Net is not giving us. Granted, not many people use this, but for those of us that do, it is pretty important.... I know Yukon is a bit off, but does anyone have an idea if the tight CLR integration will be solving this problem..
