Sorry its not a reply. My query is some what similar to this thread. I am using the tcp/binary comination . I have two ways to connect to my server 1. From local intranet 2. The same computer but using the extrnal IP. The first one works every time whereas the second one upon the invocation of first method call ( i guess when the proxy actually communicates with the server) gives the same error message "No connection could be made, the target machine actively refused it". I even checked it by disabling the NAV on the server. Dont have any firewall installed either. BTW my component dll is hosted by a service on the target machine.
