If this is not a topic for the ADVANCED-DOTNET list, can anyone point me to the right place to ask?

What are the caveats when doing multithreading in dotnet when the GUI is still VB6 forms? We've started doing all our IO on worker threads for forms and user controls that are still primarily written in VB6. Migrating 250+ user controls is not an option at the moment, though almost every other part of the system is now in dotnet.
