No, an XmlException is not something you should expect as a result of your
webservice invocation, regardless of whether your client is sending a soap
fault or not. Have you actually taken a look at the xml being returned by
the webeservice? It sounds like it's invalid or there's something going on
causing your client to muck up the XML.
