That's what I thought your point was. Unfortunately, it doesn't solve
anything because the entire file must be loaded in order to do this. What
the OP would like to do, and I think he'll find impossible, is to merely
insert bytes at the head of a file, w/o loading the file. I asked you "how?"
because I don't know anywhere near everything and I wanted to know if there
was something I was missing.
