[ADVANCED-DOTNET] what is difference between gettype() and gettypeFromProgID()?

If I have com dll and class respectively as myCom, and myObj,

will type.GetType(myCom.myObj) works just as
type.GetTypeFromProgID(myCom.myObj)?
