A view is a precomplied query yes? Therefore its unlikely ever to be
less efficent than the same query. Unless, that is the data/indexs have
changed significantly from when the query was created

        A view is just a query, so a query utilizing a view isn't going
to be slower than a query with the view's sql inside it.
