I had a quick look there before...KPL seemed promising...but the more
you look at it, the more you think vb.net is not that much harder.

I don't know of a particular language that could meet your needs, but
the site http://dotnetpowered.com/languages.aspx is a list of .Net
languages, so you may find something of use there.
