As I suspected, getting an answer on the mentionned forum is a throw of dices ... Meanwhile, I found that http://www.codeplex.com/NetMassDownloader which seems interesting. When I get around to try that, I will let everyone knows if it works as I hope it does. Why are simple things never quite so simple ... *sight*
