Had a look on MSDN and Kerberos can only be used if in domain, see

Yep Asp.Net works,   http://devserver/_vti_bin/lists.asmx returns the
WSDL, both local on the server and remote from my machine.

The more I look at this the more convinced I am that i'm not getting
authenticated with bobtheadmin , I can create lists by loggin on as
the admin account and administrating the sharepoint there, I can call
the webservice from a blank console and get an Xml document returned
using Windows Authentication direct, but the creation of the new
NetworkCredentials still gives me 405.
