I though there was SwingWorker version 3 that did this already.
It uses Doug Leas current Multithread Java Lib
classes to implement a Swing Worker that times out.

Subject: Limiting the maximum execution time of a SwingWorker.

Is there some estandar way to limit the maximum execution time of a
SwingWorker?.

In general, is there some general accepted way to stop a task when it
executes during a long time (to avoid executing indefinitely)?.

Please, if you have or know some link to an example or information about
this issue, tell me.
