Hmm... no, it's not a proxy issues.  I'm on a Cable
modem without any such configuration.  I can get lots
of other webpages fine with the JEditorPane, including
www.google.com, but I can't get to 
  http://images.google.com/images?q=blah

very frustrating!
I'm wondering if maybe it has something to do with the
headers it is sending.  I tried turning off cookies in
a regular browser, and the page still came up so I'm
pretty sure it's not that.
