Hi,
I am using Delphi 7, with Rave version 5.0

I’ve just inherited some Delphi programs with Rave reports from a retired
coworker. He is using Delphi 7 also, but with Rave version 5.5.1
His programs do not compile correctly on my pc. Actually, they do compile, but
running a particular Rave report returns the error “invalid class typecast”.
I am assuming this is due to the version discrepancy.

Also, when I check my Rave’s “edit/preferences/packages” my path is to
C:\program files\borland\delphi7\rave5\rv_____50.bpl
But his is to
C:\program files\borland\bds\2.0\RaveReports\Rv_____55.bpl

On further checking, I see that Rave version 5.5.1 is what is distributed with
Delphi 8, so I installed Delphi 8 just to get the modules there, and I now have
the directory
C:\program files\borland\bds\2.0\RaveReports\Rv_____55.bpl

My question, how do I get my Delphi 7 to point to the new Rave 5.5.1, which is
in the different directory?

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Regina
