The logo instantly reminded me of the old Lucent logo (you can see it 
again on Dennis Ritchie's homepage http://netlib.bell-labs.com/who/dmr); 
sadly now replaced by the now rather cheesy Alcatel-Lucent logo.

The Mobius thang is a great idea, but will always be difficult. To make 
"i" and "l" interesting is always a challenge, as is to fit the "s" into 
the same mold as the other cuboid letters, without the whole concept 
becoming completely Space1999.

I personally don't go for explanation/justifications of logo design; 
rather just say "Hey! It looked cool!". Tamarah should really have been 
enlisted as consultant on the design of the London 2012 Olympics logo. 
Look what we got without her.......
