Tim, I agree with your comments. In addition (and/or possibly compound):
a) The opensolaris.org homepage is just too verbose - more links to stuff are needed, rather than the stuff itself. This applies to the News and Blogs sections. The blogs section on OpenSolaris.com is much better b) News items indeed must be handled differently - the paragraph summary for each is unnecessary. You don't want negative crud on your homepage - people are paid to fabricate negative stuff that should be dispensed with courtesy of the facilities provided by the smallest room in the house. Imagine how web-based businesses would fare if they put negative comments on their homepage - another dot.Bomb suicide in the making... Your point about authoritative corrections to news BS is great, but sadly would involve an extra salary - the engineers are overworked already :-( c) I would prefer to see real opensolaris.org news in the News section - stuff like forthcoming flag days/releases - stuff to look _forward_ to d) The stuff in the News section relates to OpenSolaris, not opensolaris; so really should be a link somewhere on OpenSolaris.com; rather than opensolaris.org. But try to find anything not upbeat on OpenSolaris.com? "Get - Share - Learn"'n'stuff..... Regards... Sean.
