Hi guys,

in addition to the opensolaris.org site we have a new community based
site which we intend to translate in to Turkish as well as English:

http://www.optiplex-networks.com/sun/osol/index.html

I have just thrown some bits and pieces together quickly to get a
skeleton of the content online.

In addition to that: our base of operations is complete and only waiting
for datacenter hardware to get shipped over now after that we will have
a fully functional system with the ability to run workshops, mirror
Genunix and other OSol based distros + any available repos, show off the
Sun brand and Sun Ray thin client systems :-))

This has actually come after an internal discussion amongst the local
leader group, which we have decided to up the game on promoting
opensource software, OpenSolaris, Sun Microsystems (or should that be
Sun Oracle now??), and Sun Ray networks.... not to mention Sun software
too and the integration into 'everyday' computing.

Our aim for the future is to get some large multi processor systems in
our control center and begin looking at clustering, cloud computing,
grid computing, server farming and virtualization using hypervizors such
as Sun's xVM.

If anyone has any comments or suggestions to make please do voice them;
we do understand our lack of experience with many aspects of running an
OpenSolaris community as this is a first for all of us so currently are
trying to play everything by ear and so far everything seems pretty
positive.

Our intention once we have a larger following locally is to work closely
with OSol communities globally :-)

Regards,

Kaya
