Hi Caleb! If you guys get going, please don't hesitate to tag me. I'm in Atlanta and lead the Atlanta OpenSolaris User Group. You guys are only about 4 hours away, so it's not infeasible to come up there. Besides, my cousin runs a nursery / greenhouse in Cookeville.
