Message #1: Perl5 isn't going away, even after Perl6 is released.

Proof: Perl4 is still around.

Message #2: We expect some minor Perl5 -> Perl6 migration issues.
            This kind of migration isn't for everyone, and those 
            who have a desire/need/requirement to maintain Perl5 
            are encouraged to do so.  Perl is still a robust development
            environment, even if your distribution is slightly out of date.

Proof: Perl 5.004_04 is still around, as is 5.005.
