I contacted Kevin Lenzo at YAS.  His response was that YAS needs to put
together a formal grant process so that there is a real channel for this
sort of
thing, and there are some guidelines in place to identify the projects that
have
the most value to the community.

It might take a while to get this all working.  YAS is pretty new.  I
encourage
anyone who is interested to check out http://www.yetanother.org and get in
contact with Kevin.
