We would like to do some Perl advocacy with the media and do it in a fun catchy way (in order to better get their attention). Accordingly, does anyone have estimates on any of the following for Perl (similar to what was recently estimated for Linux in http://www.dwheeler.com/sloc/):
* developer time contributed to writing Perl core * person-years of development time based on COCOMO model * number of developers that have contributed * lines of code * cost to develop by conventional proprietary means * anything else that might be an interesting/unusual stat Thanks!
