We can cool it here, but the issue remains and it is not as simple as "they
have more lawyers so we need to roll over and take it." The issue is to
clarify the fundamental principles and find partners who subscribe to them
to underwrite our side in the legal battles that will happen with or
without Perl and its modules, since this is just one of the many ways to do
it. There are plenty of free speech organizations who can step up to the
plate to find legislative clarification. For my part, I plan to create some
modules that do exactly this and spread them far and wide. Does anyone
really think that these modules are gone because CPAN doesn't carry them
any more? Nah.
