In my ocassional chats with Python and PHP people it seems they have
no interest in Parrot.

They usually bring up technical issues (e.g. their language won't work
well on Parrot or
we already have several working runtime environments) but my feeling
is that most
of this is just covering their negative feeling (fear?, resentment?) of Perl.

Of course if the technical issues really exists we (on the advocay list) don't
have much to do. Parrot can be successfull even if only Perl[56]? will use it
so I am assuming here the technical issues are either nonexistant or
will be solved.
I guess also if Parrot will really give advantages to the users of the
other languages
they will be more likely to accept using it.

Still I wonder if we have anything to say about this.
How can we reduce these negative feelings of the people from the other
P* languages?

Of course I might not talk to the right people and as I am not
involved in neither
Parrot nor Pugs I might miss those who are interested but nevertheless this
issue constantly bothers me.
