But clearly I could have just whined on IM to you, and say "hey you
should publish this on perlbuzz" and saved myself the effort, not to
mention riling a bunch of hard working developers and contributors
just for cheap laugh.

Suggesting somebody use PHP isn't really a personal attack after they
complain that Perl MVC is too hard, and maybe should use Mason, not to
mention the childish and ill-informed statements he made, the hat
fits, I hear the same "MVC frameworks are hard, the documentation
doesn't spoonfeed me enough" from actual PHP Programmers, I like and
work with them. Probably an appropriate suggestion - particularly for
somebody who describes themselves as not doing much web work.
