Not sure if this is possible (or the right forum to post this), but we are creating a web app for our customers that helps them manage their advertising information (as well as other features). We are interfacing in the AdWords with SOAP messages and everything works fine. The last piece of our puzzle is to mimic the Location Target when creating a campaign that is available on the AdWords UI...select a target and show on a map. From a quick glance, it appears that we can mimic most of the functionality with the use of the Google Map API. However, showing the AdWords data on a map has been our stumbling block.
We have all the AdWords data (metro and city codes). However, what we want to do is to show on the map the selected area for these values, i.e. Tampa, FL or Chicago, IL, or the state of Indiana. Unfortunately, we haven't found the necessary API to show a selection on a map that corresponds to AdWords location data. Has anyone tried to replicate this feature? Can this be done? Are there any examples out there?
