Earlier this week from Monday through yesterday (Wednesday), there was a problem with the getKeywordVariations call. The moreSpecific variations should be more refined versions of the seed keyword. For those days it was only semi-refined. The seed keyword "fried chicken" should produce up to 200 variations of additional keyword phrases containing the seed keyword "fried chicken". What I was seeing is that it was giving keywords that contained either "fried" or "chicken".
Can I get confirmation on what was the nature of the problem? Was the behavior of the API call changed for that period of time or was it a problem with the underlying data? I burned a lot of api credits and money because of these problems. My application looks at a particular keyword and it's refinements on using the moreSpecific versions of keywords and builds a hierarchy using them. With moreSpecific the hierarchy always quickly narrow and ends. With the problems the hierarchy was broadening because the terms were being used as an or and not as an exact phrase. Also, what is the mechanism to go about getting a refund for api credits. thanks, Joe --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "AdWords API Forum" group.
