Hello Tim,

I did hear back from the reports engineering team, and yes, you are
getting an empty creativeType attribute back because it's a TV Ad. All
TV Ads will come back with an empty creativeType.

Unfortunately, that isn't to say that whenever you see an empty
creativeType it necessarily corresponds to a TV Ad. There are a number
of other (what might be described as less common, and in some cases
deprecated) ad types that will also lead to an empty creativeType
attribute. Some of those ad types include print ads, gadget ads, and
audio ads.

I know that can lead to some uncertainty when it comes to parsing
report results, and apologies for that. The reports engineer I spoke
to was not sure about the historical reasons behind this behavior.

Cheers,
-Jeff Posnick, AdWords API Team
