Hi, Are you using the sample project included with the Python client library?
http://code.google.com/p/google-api-adwords-python-lib/ I talked with the creator of that project, and he said no special settings are required to get it to work with appengine. It appears that there isn't SSL support on your appengine instance, perhaps this is something you need to enable?
