I understand that you are using Node js to call Google Ads API. However, Google Ads API supported client libraries don't include Node.js, you can check this link for the supported client library in Google Ads API. However, have you tried to use the direct REST API for the Google Ads API to send an api call? If not, then you may use REST API and see if it works on your end without being slow request processing.
