Hi Danny, Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.
Please find the answers for your questions below: 1. Let's say that I already have a master MCC which already has basic access. A sub-MCC account without basic access is then assigned to the master MCC. Can I take action on ad account (eg. create, modify and retrieve information campaign) under the corresponding sub-MCC account by using the master MCC through API? Yes, you can take action on ad accounts (e.g., create, modify, and retrieve information campaigns) under the corresponding sub-MCC account by using the master MCC through API. This is because the master MCC has basic access, which allows it to manage all of the accounts under its hierarchy. 2. Added to that, given that there are 20 accounts limit for every gmail account, if I create an ad account and assign it to another specific MCC account, and I remove my access right to the ad account, would the 20 accounts limit rule stands for the corresponding ad account or would the 50 accounts limit rule (max. account limit (active non-manager accounts)) stands instead? If you create an ad account and assign it to another specific MCC account, and you remove your access right to the ad account, the 20 accounts limit rule would apply to the corresponding ad account. This is because the ad account is now managed by the other MCC account, which is not affected by your access rights. I would recommend you please refer to this help center article “About your Google Ads account limits” for more information.
