Problem Overview:
I am creating a Demand Gen Carousel Ad using the Google Ads API, and during
the creation process, I upload marketing images and link them to the
carousel ad as assets. However, I am receiving the error message stating:
"The given asset's type and the specified field type are incompatible."
I have ensured that the images uploaded are of the correct aspect ratio and
size according to the documentation, and I validate the assets' types
before linking them to the carousel cards. Despite these precautions, the
error persists.
API Workflow Steps:
1. Upload images as assets via the uploadImageAssets function.
2. Verify asset types to ensure they are of type "IMAGE."
3. Create a Demand Gen Carousel Ad, linking the image assets to the
carousel cards.
4. Upon linking the assets, I receive the
"FIELD_TYPE_INCOMPATIBLE_WITH_ASSET_TYPE" error.
