As per the API documentation, the API supports the following campaign types: - Display Network only - Search Network only - Display Expansion on Search - App campaigns - Call-only - Demand Gen - Performance Max - Shopping campaigns - Local Services Each campaign target has one campaign type, known in the API as the AdvertisingChannelType field. I would recommend you to check the allowed values for the AdvertisingChannelType field. In order to know the limitations of the Google Ads API in comparison to the Google Ads UI in terms of campaigns, I would recommend you to refer to the Differences from the Google Ads UI section. As you have mentioned that you are getting the error “campaign_type 'the type' is not supported by the current Google Ads API version.”, please provide the complete API logs (request and response with request-id and request header) generated at your end for this error without redacting any information. This will help us to understand why you are getting this error. If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are using. You can refer to the guides Java, .Net, PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl to enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging via the curl command by using the -i flag.
