I would like to be able to track which ad extension has been clicked.
Aside from ad extensions, it has been very easy to track the ID's of
ads / criterion that were triggering ads by either
1) using dynamic insertion
OR
2) updating destination URL's after obtaining the ID's from the
adwords api.
It appears there is no way to do this dynamically, nor can I update a
site link's destination URL with extra arguments (because there is no
way to update a site link's destination URL within the adwords API).
Ideally, I am hoping to be able to accomplish this in a similar
fashion to how I can use "{creative}" to obtain the adGroupAdId and
"{keyword}" to obtain the keyword that triggered an ad.
For Example, I would like to be able to have an ad extension with the
following destination urls:
http://www.example.com/boxes/?q={keyword}&adExtensionId={**SOMETHING??**}&sitelink={**SOMETHING??**}
http://www.example.com/buckets/?q={keyword}&adExtensionId={**SOMETHING??**}&sitelink={**SOMETHING??**}
http://www.example.com/baskets/?q={keyword}&adExtensionId={**SOMETHING??**}&sitelink={**SOMETHING??**}
http://www.example.com/time-machines/?q={keyword}&adExtensionId={**SOMETHING??**}&sitelink={**SOMETHING??**}
Is this currently possible? Or will it be considered eventually?
