Greetings. Background info: I am using Java and v201008.
I am trying to mutate the status of an AdGroupAd (ImageAd) by retrieving the AdGroupAd doing a get for its Id, changing the status and then doing a SET on the same AdGroupAd that was retrieved moments before. The only thing I changed was the status. As per the thread http://groups.google.com/group/adwords-api/browse_thread/thread/c1255671ed157268/316e82daca39cf3e?fwc=1 I tried some other options, like setting a new Ad or new ImageAd on the AdGroupAd, but that did not work either.
