Eric, et. al.

For a project, we are looking to provide a way for users to add keywords to
the system using the familiar notation for broad, phrase, negative, etc. The
trouble is that I can't simply pass these along to AdWords to interpret, as
I'm guessing that I need to set the proper flags on the 'ADD' operation for
it to be accepted. Coincidentally, I can add the terms ...

[keyword me]
"keyword me"
-[keyword me]
-"keyword me"

... all as Broad match, Biddable keywords. I'm looking to create an "expert"
mode for our users using the Google-standard notation, but I want to know if
I need to write that logic myself or if there is a way to have the service
interpret my intent on submission. I like the latter option better, if only
because it seems like that application logic should be behind the service
layer. Failing that, anyone have a comprehensive set of rules to guide us?

Thank you!

- Stephen
