Hi, The UI Traffic Estimator tool uses a combination of backend services for the API TrafficEstimatorService and TargetingIdeaService. In order to duplicate the UI interface, you will have to make calls to both services to obtain the information you need.
The TargetingIdeaService has two modes - IDEAS, used for keyword research, and STATS, used to report on a specific keyword. This second monde (STATS) is what you need to get back the keyword you input.
