Hi Jonathan, Run the GetCampaigns code example first. This will initialize the sandbox and create 5 test accounts. Then run GetAccountHierarchy code example to retrieve the customer id for the 5 test accounts you created. You can now use one of those customer ids to run your code examples.
Also, please open an issue at http://code.google.com/p/google-api-ads-python/issues/list to update the Python client library's README, and the library maintainer will get in touch with you over the issue tracker.
