Kevin, This is strange; when I went back this morning to generate the XML for you for some of the reports that kept failing last week I found they are actually now working (with the exception of the Account Report which you already mentioned). Sorry about this but I know they were failing also for someone else, so it couldn't have been just an error on my side. The important thing is it's all working.
