Thanks David.  So SEARCH_VOLUME is actually *monthly* SEARCH_VOLUME.  I 
thought I tried it, and it gave me much lower traffic than 
AVERAGE_TARGETED_MONTHLY_SEARCHES.  I'll test it again and ping you if 
that's the case.
