Ewan, Thank you so much for taking the time to test this and report on this thread. At least now I have confirmation I am not crazy and there is actually something wrong with the api sandbox.
I would love to hear back from someone on the google team in regards to when we can expect this to be resolved. As Sebastian said; it is getting difficult to explain this delay to my client as nobody expects a google product to be the source of an issue.
