Okay... Twice in the last 9 months we've had major Sunsets of API versions, and in both cases we've had major hassles in the upgrade due to unexpected changes to the API to remove functionality we depended upon.
That kind of thrashing about has resulted in a lot of instability in our code and trying to support the rapid pace of these changes requires more resources than we can afford to put on this -- we have a lot more on our plate than the Adwords API, and you guys keep pulling the rug out from under us. Can we please have an API release which is designated LTS - long term support, that we can be guaranteed will be supported for 2-3 years at a minimum?
