Display-only targeting is not applicable for DisplaySelect campaigns, see: http://adwords.blogspot.com/2013/11/select-new-better-performing-campaign.html To keep this specific targeting, please use separate campaigns for search and for display only, as described here: http://googleadsdeveloper.blogspot.com/2014/03/changes-required-for-creating-new.html -Danial, AdWords API Team.
